You will explore broad management topics such as project management, decision making, team motivation, negotiation and conflict management, while gaining the flexibility to explore courses in other business disciplines. This major is ideal for those who want a strong foundation in business with an emphasis in leadership and management studies. This major is flexible enough for you to declare a minor and combine general management competencies with specialized know-how. By minoring in HR you can complete the required courses for your Canadian Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation. The Management major is a versatile and flexible major that will give you a solid base of transferable business skills, equipping you to pursue a number of unique career paths. Your 13 elective courses allows you to customize your learning based on your unique interests. Our co-op option develops your professional and leadership abilities through relevant work experience outside of the classroom. You can even chose to complete a project-based assignment or an individual study for a course credit.
